California Will Soon Require Background Checks for Ammunition Purchases

Beginning July 1st, anyone purchasing ammunition in California will have to undergo an instant background check while making their purchase. Anyone prohibited from owning a gun won’t be allowed to buy ammunition. The change is part of Proposition 63, a gun control measure passed by voters in 2016. Proposition 63 author, and now Governor, Gavin Newsom says the law makes sense.
