Charles Piller on Alzheimer’s Research Failures
With Americans living longer lives, more and more people find themselves either caring for someone with dementia or suffering from it themselves. There are high hopes for cures or at least improved treatments, but investigative journalist Charles Piller says those hopes may be dashed by a system that is riven with deceit. Hear Charles Piller talk with KQED’s Rachael Myrow on an all-new Commonwealth Club. Piller’s book is “Doctored: Fraud, Arrogance and Tragedy in the Quest to Cure Alzheimer's.”
