Suzie Racho
Director, Producer
Suzie Racho has been the director of The California Report's Friday newsmagazine since 2000. She joined our staff in 1996 as the show's news assistant.
In addition to working on the weekly magazine, Racho has a hand in producing and directing all of TCR's special statewide broadcasts and live news events, including the monthly series Health Dialogues, the annual State of the State Address, and Election Night. She has reported on arts and culture for many of KQED Public Radio's programs, including Pacific Time, The California Report, KQED News, and Hot Soup.
Her work at KQED Public Radio has been recognized by the Society for Professional Journalists, National Federation of Community Broadcasters, Public Radio News Directors Incorporated, and APTRA of California and Nevada, among others.
Suzie is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where she received a B.A. in Journalism in 1994.
