Even though there are no known cases of infected San Franciscans, Mayor London Breed issued a state of emergency on Tuesday as the coronavirus spreads worldwide.
Breed said the main purpose of the state of emergency is to prepare the city in the event of an outbreak.
Earlier in the day Dr. Nancy Messonnier of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the deadly virus will spread to the United States, saying, “it’s not so much a question of if this will happen anymore, but more really a question of when it will happen.”
Sure, it sounds scary, but not as scary as racism, the latest conspiracy theory and panic.
