University of California, Berkeley, graduate Alex Morgan gave American sports fans a thrill Monday when she scored the winning goal in the U.S. women's soccer team's semifinal victory over Canada. But even casual Olympics watchers were probably familiar with her name before her tally sent the national team to the gold medal match. Morgan, 23, has emerged as one of the stars of the London games, partnering with teammate Abby Wambach to give the U.S. a fearsome front line.
