Oh the dangers of chess...last night Stephen Colbert brought boxing champion and apparent chess-lover, Floyd Mayweather, out to discuss the recent crackdown by San Francisco Police on the outdoor chess games on Market Street. The story has been making the rounds since September 17 when SFGate quoted Capt. Michael Redmond as saying: “It’s turned into a big public nuisance,” and “I think maybe it’s a disguise for some other things that are going on.” What types of other things?
