Become a patron of science: support more episodes of Deep Look

From hummingbirds to squid skin, banana slug slime to butterfly wings… KQED's award-winning science series Deep Look loves taking you on a journey closer to science than you've ever been before.
Because when you get close - strange things appear. You see worlds you never knew existed, mysteries that are beautiful, surprising and sometimes, a little creepy.

But it is a ton of work! When you add up all the research, writing, preparation, filming, editing, graphics and original music (yep - every Deep Look has original music!) it takes 6-8 weeks to make each 4 minute episode! No other science show on YouTube goes to such great lengths to bring you the wonder of nature. We are proud to partner with PBS Digital Studios to produce this show, but grants, sponsorships, and funding at times are uncertain! Now it is more important than ever to stand up for - and celebrate - science.
And that's why we're on Patreon. If you love our show, you can kick in a little - or a lot - each month so we can do incredible things as a Deep Look community.
So thank you, thank you, thank you and welcome to the Deep Look community!
