Timothy Roy Redmond, Louis Parnell, Manny Redmond and Sally Dana in 'Disruption' at 3Girls Theater (Mario Parnell/3Girls Theater)

The play, Disruption, is timed perfectly for the #MeToo moment. It’s about a female CEO who’s accused of sexually harassing a male employee at a Silicon Valley company. As my co-host Eli Wirtschafter notes, that’s still a lot rarer in real life than men harassing women. But the playwright AJ Baker told Eli that by turning the tables, she hoped to make audiences really look at our assumptions about gender and power.

“Does the fact that she’s a woman,” Baker said, “is that going to color your reaction? Are you harder on her? Are you easier on her? I wanted to see a woman in that situation, see how it felt.”

3Girls Theatre Company’s production of Disruption runs April 6 to April 28 at Z Below. Details here.
