 MJ Johnson is a visual journalist and writer who was born and raised in Japan. She received her B.A. in Journalism from San Francisco State University and has worked as a local reporter for the San Francisco Examiner and the Golden Gate Xpress. Her interest in journalism comes from a desire to absorb and understand media through a multicultural lens, leading her to cover stories on race, identity and history.
