Monday Night BART Strike Update: Walkout Over, Service to Resume

BART's running again, but commuters have suffered through another tough trip this morning with trains well behind their normal schedule and an accident on the Bay Bridge backing up traffic in all directions.

That's the bad news. The good news is that the highway commute has mostly cleared up and BART expects to be running back on time by the afternoon commute. And in case you want to take advantage of alternate commute service, BART will operate eastbound charter bus service from San Francisco's Transbay Terminal this afternoon (you need to have the second half of your round-trip ticket from the morning commute to board). San Francisco Bay Ferry is also operating extra runs to Alameda, Oakland and Vallejo.

511.org has a complete, up-to-date list of alternate commute services still available today.
