Facebook is under scrutiny after it revealed that at least 3,000 ads had been placed by a Russian agency trying to influence the 2016 presidential election.
For months, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Facebook found no evidence of Russian involvement in fake news. Then, last week Facebook announced it would turn over to Congress the content of ads placed by a hacking group connected to Russian intelligence.
Zuckerberg is wrestling with ways the social network can prevent international agents from influencing voters admitting, "I wish I could tell you we’re going to be able to stop all interference, but that wouldn’t be realistic."
