An independent autopsy found that six bullets struck Stephon Clark in the back.
“He wasn’t facing the officers,” said forensic pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu.
Omalu, who performed an autopsy at the request of Clark’s family, said that there were no fatal wounds on the front of the body.
The renowned pathologist, famous for his work in concussion-related brain disease in football players, said that Clark was most likely alive for three to 10 minutes after being shot.
