In another expansion move that is NOT in the Bay Area, Google announced plans for a $1 billion office complex along the Hudson River in New York City.
The real estate deal comes soon after Google said it would buy the Manhattan Chelsea Market for $2.5 billion.
In case the Bay Area is feeling left out, the tech giant bought an office park in Mountain View for $1 billion in November.
Meanwhile, Apple and Amazon have announced multibillion-dollar expansion deals in locations ranging from Long Island City, New York, to Detroit, Michigan.
