The battle over Cargill Salt's 1,400 acres of Redwood City shoreline is back after the Trump administration removed a barrier to development.

The Environmental Protection Agency reversed a finding by the Obama EPA that developing the land would violate the Clean Water Act.

Though Cargill has yet to release a current development plan, during the previous fight the company announced a plan to build 12,000 houses for 25,000 new residents.

This definitely isn't the first time people have turned to the Bay to try to get around the fact that land is scarce around these parts.
