A few months ago, I took a class called Know Thyself, which was about the nature and limits of self-knowledge. After twelve weeks of trying to figure out what the hell Socrates, Descartes, Freud, and even Buddha were going on about, the final takeaway was essentially: Guess what! There might not even be a self! And if there is one, you surely don't know anything about it. Not exactly a comforting conclusion.
Maybe we never really know who we truly are, but we can try to get closer to finding out with amusements like the charts below, which use your Myers-Briggs personality type to cast you as a character from the Star Wars and Harry Potter universes. Thank heavens for the geeks who thought this up! (If you've never taken the Myers-Briggs test, there's no time like the present).
