After a two-year dry spell, Frisco legend Andre Nickatina will return to the stage this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his 2004 album Conversation With a Devil.

The announced tour dates, from late March to mid-May, take place at small, out-of-the-way venues in Northern California — which rapper Mistah F.A.B. once referred to as “the Bay Area’s chitlin’ circuit” — as well as cities in Washington, Oregon and Nevada.

The tour comes as welcome news to Nickatina’s fanbase, who in recent years have had to subsist on Nickatina’s two “Reimagined by Symphony” concerts at San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre, which presented his hits performed as instrumentals by a classical ensemble.

One difference from Nickatina’s past tours? Expect tickets to the Conversation With a Devil tour to be more expensive than usual. At the Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol, for example, early-bird advance tickets are $60; tickets at the door are priced at $100.

Nickatina also recently announced a vinyl reissue of Cocaine Raps, packaged with a bonus LP of unreleased tracks. (The price tag for it is similarly high, at $70.)
