NBA All-Star Weekend is taking over the Bay Area, and there are plenty of official festivities — a celebrity game at Oakland Arena on Feb. 14; the HBCU classic and a dunk contest on Feb. 15; and of course the big game itself, where legends like Steph Curry and LeBron James will face off against the NBA’s young stars at Chase Center on Feb. 16. Accompanying the athletics is the All-Star Concert Series at Pier 48, with Zedd, Flo Rida, Gary Clark Jr., Noah Kahan, 2 Chainz and the Chainsmokers.
Your NBA All-Star Weekend Party Guide

As some observers have pointed out, aside from booking Flo Rida and 2 Chainz, the All-Star Concert Series missed an opportunity to lean into hip-hop — after all, it’s anthems like E-40’s “Choices” that hype NBA games. But at bars and clubs across the Bay, rappers and DJs have taken matters into their own hands. With too many events to choose from, and many already sold out, we rounded up 10 parties not to miss in San Francisco, Oakland and San José.
All-Star Weekend Kick Off with Jeremih, Ray J and Bobby Brackins
Nova Nightclub, San José
Feb. 13, 10 p.m.

All-Star Weekend x Valentine’s Day Bash with Saweetie
Eve Nightclub, San Francisco
Feb. 14, 10 p.m.
With charismatic hits like “Icy Girl,” “Best Friend” and “My Type,” Saweetie has no shortage of club anthems for the baddie that lives inside all of us. The Bay Area and Sacramento-raised rapper will be in San Francisco to host the All-Star Weekend party at Eve Nightclub, which offers bottle service and VIP tables.

Shaboozey Live
The Grand, San Francisco
Feb. 15, 10 p.m.
After he shows fans what he’s got in the All-Star celebrity game, Shaboozey will perform “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and other hits at The Grand, a Vegas-style nightclub in downtown SF. Considering that San Francisco label Empire released his chart-topping 2024 album, it’s not unlikely that some notable guests will be in the building.
Family Not a Group Presents: It’s a Function
El Rio, San Francisco
Feb. 15, 3–8 p.m.
The 17-artist mega-collective Family Not a Group puts on for real Frisco, and the born-and-raised crew is throwing a function in the backyard of storied Mission District queer bar El Rio. If expensive bottle service is not your scene, this is a compelling, unpretentious alternative.

The Party Never Ends
The New Parish, Oakland
Feb. 15, 10 p.m.
A lot of All-Star Weekend parties come with a hefty price tag. Not The Party Never Ends at Oakland’s multi-room club, The New Parish. It’s free before 11 p.m. and features some of the Bay’s best DJs: Sean G, Yohiness, Popit4slim and Drew Banga, who throws so many parties that his nickname is Mr. What We Doin’.
Bay Area All-Stars with Tombogo
The Felix, San Francisco
Feb. 15, 9 p.m.
This speakeasy inside a Vietnamese restaurant is one of San Francisco’s hottest dance floors. For its All-Star Weekend festivities, Oakland-raised fashion designer Tommy Bogo (of Tombogo — the workwear brand all your favorite West Coast rappers wear) is spinning with his crew. Also making a rare appearance behind the decks will be rapper-producer P-Lo, “a gentle gigg” hitmaker Seiji Oda, Aux Cord, Drew Banga and Gulu.

Uncle Waffles Presented by FRNDS Only
The Felix, San Francisco
Feb. 15, 8 p.m.
No song is safe from an amapiano remix these days — the percussive South African dance genre can be heard at global bass parties that are currently all the rage in the Bay. During All-Star Weekend, the Midway is bringing out a key architect of amapiano’s international crossover: Uncle Waffles, whose debut single “Tanzania” went Platinum seven times in South Africa.
Obi’s House
Public Works, San Francisco
Feb. 15, 9 p.m.
DJ Obi has taken his signature party, Obi’s House, from Lagos, Nigeria across the globe, and it’s drawn some of the biggest hitmakers from the African continent, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tyla and Tems. Obi’s House arrives in San Francisco for a night of dancing at Public Works, in collaboration with the extremely lit party crew Afrobeats Oakland and San Francisco label EMPIRE.
All-Star Weekend Finale with DJ Esco
Vanity, San Francisco
Feb. 16, 9 p.m.
Future’s go-to producer and tour DJ will be behind the decks at Vanity, which features two floors of dancing and bottle service, with a dress-to-impress dress code.

All-Star Weekend Finale with G-Eazy and Friends
The Grand, San Francisco
Feb. 16, 10 p.m.
Bay Area rappers are showing out all All-Star Weekend — not least G-Eazy. The hitmaker will fly back in the middle of his Australia and New Zealand tour for a hometown show at The Grand. G-Eazy typically brings out the who’s who of the local hip-hop scene at his shows, so it’s a safe bet that he has some surprises up his sleeve.
