Families Remain Separated, Parents Face Dire Choice

Months after President Trump issued an executive order declaring an end to family separation at the border, hundreds of migrant children are still separated from their families.

Many parents say they were coerced into signing their own removal orders after government officials told them that was only way they would be reunited with their children.

Under a settlement provisionally approved this week, those parents face an untenable choice: bring their children back to violence the family fled, or leave the children in the U.S. and risk never seeing them again.

Court documents show that 414 parents were deported without their children.
