There's a big vote in Los Angeles tomorrow, but just one thing on the ballot: Measure EE. It would add a 16 cent tax to each square foot of developed property. It came out of the deal between the Los Angeles Unified School District and the teachers' union as a way to fund smaller classes, more staff and better pay when teachers went on strike back in January. The idea is to raise about $500 million annually.
