As Ramadan comes to an end, Muslims around the world are preparing for Eid al-Fitr: “The feast of breaking the fast.”
If you’re looking for an Eid party to gather with others, enjoy delicious food or meet new people, keep reading for just some of the events — most of them with free admission — taking place around the Bay Area to celebrate the occasion.
One major highlight for 2025 is San Francisco’s first large-scale Eid Night Market Street Fair, taking place in the Tenderloin district on April 5. This “bazaar-style” Eid event will offer food, live performances and even the Golden State Warriors’s academy coaches to play basketball with kids.

“The Tenderloin is known for more than just what people see in the news,” San Francisco Supervisor Bilal Mahmood, who represents the Tenderloin, told KQED last week. “We believe this will showcase that, and in some respect, also be a beacon for the 250,000 Muslims who live in the Bay Area.”
When is Eid 2025? Depending on sightings of the moon, Eid is predicted to land on Sunday, March 30. Please note that the Bay Area Eid events listed below begin as early as Thursday, March 27 and last well into April.
