For the past two weeks, I've been trying to become a morning person, the kind that makes their bed, showers behind their ears, cooks a healthy breakfast, goes for a walk, does something darling like puzzling over a crossword on a park bench, all before heading to work, buzzing with productivity and contentment. This has not been easy. I don't drink coffee so the waft of Folgers is not going to do the trick. But what might is Morning Gloryville, a break-of-dawn rave party that got its start in East London a year ago and has since spread to Amsterdam, Tokyo, Sydney, and now San Francisco.
Why rave so early in the day, you ask? "Free improvised dancing in space uniquely wakes up your body, mind and creativity and will leave you feeling more energized and alive than you could ever imagine." If that's not convincing enough for you, attendees will be greeted by "Wake-up Angels," who will provide coffee, superfood smoothies, and even massages. It's all going down tomorrow (August 20, 2014) at 2050 Bryant St in the Mission starting at 6:30am. See you there?
