It’s that time of year again, when fans flock to San Diego for Comic-Con International (or just SDCC for most people). Spanning media far beyond comics, the convention is a place for movies and tv shows to tease fans with new trailers and panels.
More than 100,000 were expected to converge on the convention, which ran from July 19 through 22. Teaser images and clips were seen at the panels for “Wonder Woman 1984,” “Fantastic Beasts” and more, while shows like “Doctor Who” and “Riverdale” also gave fans much to look forward to in coming seasons.
At this con, fans aren’t just attendees, they’re part of the entertainment. From group costumes that take months of coordination, to custom-made ones that require some engineering skills, the pop-culture inspired outfits are a sight to behold.
Here are some of the highlights from this year’s con.
