Heavy rains poured down on the Bay Area this weekend. On Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a flood warning in San Francisco and advisories in Alameda, San Mateo and Contra Costa County.

By Sunday afternoon, the storm had dissipated, with showers affecting areas south of San Jose. No rain is expected this coming week for the Bay Area.

Saturday’s storm produced major downpours in San Francisco. An inch of rain fell within one hour. Residents across the city posted videos on social media showing flooded streets.

San Francisco’s Municipal Transportation Agency stopped several subway lines due to flooding.

A 30 to 40 foot tall tree struck a man and a woman in San Francisco’s Presidio Terrace neighborhood during the storm on Saturday. The two were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
